Lunch Fire LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Food Truck Beacon mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your email address when you create an account.
• Location data: GPS coordinates collected from customers to show nearby trucks on the map (not stored or transmitted to our servers). GPS coordinates collected from truck owners only when their beacon is actively enabled — not collected when the beacon is off.
• Device push token: To send relevant alerts. Collected only when you grant notification permission.
• Usage data: Basic app interaction data including beacon sessions, direction requests, and favorites activity to help us improve the experience.
• Subscription data: Purchase history managed through Apple or Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat.
• Crash and diagnostic data: When the app crashes or encounters an error, we collect a technical report that includes your device model, operating system, app version, account identifier, and IP address, so we can find and fix the problem.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display live food truck locations to nearby customers
• To notify truck owners when a customer is heading their way
• To authenticate your account
• To process subscription access
• To respond to support requests
• To send marketing and product update emails to registered users (you may unsubscribe at any time)
• To analyze app usage and improve the product experience

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. Location Data

• Customer location is used only on-device to show nearby trucks and is never stored or transmitted to our servers.
• Location is only collected from truck owners who have actively turned on their beacon.
• Location data is cleared when the beacon is turned off or the account is deleted.
• Background location: When a truck owner turns their beacon on, we register a geofence at that location and collect location data in the background — even when the app is closed or not in use — so we can alert the owner if they leave without turning the beacon off. This requires "Always" location permission. Background location is only collected while the beacon is active, and is not collected when the beacon is off.

4. Data Sharing

• Firebase (Google): Used for authentication, database, and push notifications.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription billing. Payment processing is handled by Apple or Google — we never see your payment details.
• Expo: Used for push notification delivery and app distribution.
• Sentry: Used to collect crash and error reports so we can diagnose problems in the app. These reports include your account identifier, device information, and IP address.
• ZeroBounce: Used to verify that email addresses are valid when accounts are created, which reduces failed deliveries and fraudulent signups.
• Brevo (Sendinblue): Used for marketing and transactional email communications to registered users.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated data within 30 days.

6. Account Deletion

Delete your account anytime from within the App. Contact us at to request deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security including encrypted data transmission and secure authentication.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
